Injection by ink cartridge

Well not quite, but from the same maker of printers and printer ink!

HP replaces needles with patch

Armless technique

By Nick Farrell: Thursday, 29 November 2007, 9:08 AM

THE DAYS of a doctor giving you an injection with a needle the size of a telegraph pole could be a thing of the past.

The maker of expensive printer ink, HP has come up with a skin patch that uses microneedles that just penetrate the skin.

The patches can replace conventional injections and deliver drugs through the skin without causing any pain.

It can also deliver several drugs at the same time and the control of dosage time for each drug.

A picture of the prototype skin patch makes it look like a computer chip which is why the hardware outfit was interested in the project.

Apparently it is similar to the technology used in HP’s patented process for its inkjet cartridges.

One patch has 150 microneedles and 400 cylindrical reservoirs that can be filled with the necessary drugs. The operation is controlled by microchip.

If HP continues its usual business model, it will probably offer the patch for a small cost but hype the cost of the medication.

teleportation on nano scales has already been achieved

couple years now... but its not being hyped for some reason...

and from the same camp that made the teleportation also have working first generation warp fields

reducing the mass of the objects they are used on by 30%
amazing but also not very hyped... dont know why... but hey!!! turn on the tv! iam sure there is an hour long special on brittnee or parry i mean paris hilton on.

This is not a bad idea at all...could almost totally replace pills in cases where people have to take multiple medications several times per day...No need to keep a pill popping schedule anymore.

One word: COST
If they hype it, ppl might investiquery who's government is funding it and how much... instead of other VERY RELEVANT problems like WORLD HUNGER...

Yes the world would be more convenient and we would have that much more time available to do important things like... watch VH1's best week ever... the more things change the more they remain the same...
