I know I know, just being silly. The next purchase is a sweet 22inch/24inch as my monitor is an serious fail in terms of showing off what my card can offer.

The fact that it's only 19inches and an Envision is not too good of a combo with my card.

Your monitor really is key in showing off yuh card yes.....

Well I read the HD 5xxx series is out in 2 weeks... (I hope it wasn't a typo) I would suggest anyone interested in buying a new card give it a few more weeks to see how thing turn out.

I am also looking for a nice 22"/24" LCD to pair with my new rig.

Looking like if I want it locally, I'll have to settle for a 22" for under $1500 (24" is over $2000)

The question is where to get a top a d line 22" locally at a good price...

a 22" samsung for 1120, not bad at all. Where can I find that? I really want a 24" though and planned to import it (like most quality items I've purchased) but might settle for the 22" locally @ that price.

What make or model did you see? Wanna do a little research.

Unless i can't read correctly u said u have a 19" LCD Envision brand. The first two LCDs i posted are HD monitors for a very reasonable price and are 22" sized.

However if u wanna get taken with 'higher end' brand names u can import an Acer or an Asus for a lot more and no warranty. Your choice.

Aight boss I hear u on that, will take note. Yes as Noob said where is that 22inch Samsung being sold locally???

...and believe me...you certainly will not notice any degradation in video quality with a HDMI-to-DVI cable.

I should know.  :)

Well you shouldn't as hdmi is basically dvi with audio. The only thing that would cause a degradation would be the quality of the adapter.

I think sufficient holes were put into noob's disappointment over no hdmi...I also can attest to no degredation in quality using a converter.

silly rabbit, DVI alone is for kids.

I want the HDMI for the PS3. Multiple inputs.

Ditto for any other media device that comes to live in the den.

Less cables the merrier as well, having hdmi will make for so much less clutter. I am fighting a 20 foot cable dragon every night in the living room thanks to the PS3/Cable Box/Router/Cable Modem/PC/TV and power strip. steups

still eying my dream monitor here:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Touch-T240HD-24-Inch-Monitor/dp/tech-data/B001AYGDCE/ref=de_a_smtd

24" samsung goodness.

Soon my precious, soon.

So why not get a 32" tv and done? If u want usability with a pc, look for one with a 19x10 res. They have them in Price Mart. That's what I plan to upgrade to sometime in the future.

a lil too big for my desk (I tried, lol)

Was tempted after buying one for a friend, a 32".

the 24"/26" is perfect for double duty as PC gaming monitor and PS3/360/Wii/FightPron when the misses wants me and my mess out of the living room. (inevitable)

Had an Acer 24" before remember. It was just about perfect.

well lookie, lookie,

price drop on the 26"

Christmas looking better and better already. Only US$19.00 more than his smaller 24" brethren. Amazon must be in a good mood.
