Lunar Knights review

Ok many of you may not know about this game for fans of metal gear you will know the name Hideo Kojima who has created this game :D . If you have ever played the Boktai games for gba this is considered Boktai 4 but they have started with a new story so if u havent played boktai no problem.

Review

This game starts you in a world which is now ruled by vampires they have covered the sky with a machine that blocks the sunlight . In this world humans are just livestock for the vampires to feed on. You start off as a Vampire Hunter named Lucian he has a personal vendetta against the leader of the vampires and has decided to hunt down every last vampire and kill them ( something he is most capable of doing ) he uses the dark blade and he has a dark cat with which he can fuse with to increase his power temporarily. Later on you start start off in the hideout of "the Guild" the guild is the human resistance that has fought against the vampires for many years. You start as a young boy ( Aaron ) who has yet to discover his true power he uses the power of solar guns. The sun is his strength as the moon is the strength of Lucian. Later on Lucian and Aaron join together whether they like to or not to fight the vampire force.
During this game you get the abilities of the defeated Vampire Lords ( thats what i call em :D ) and increase your power to fight the mighty king of vampires The Duke. The abilities you get are very different from that of other games. The first powers you get or " Terrentials " is a dark terrential useable only by Lucian and a Light Terrential usable only by Aaron. The terrentials change the form of the characters into a sort of monster to fight evil. Later on Terrentials get very strange and awesome you may require use of touch screen and mic to use them so be ready.

Overview

The Good

Story is great a nice compelling story that can hook almost anyone
Cinematechs are anime styled and make you feel like you are watching an anime as the framerate is good and it does include voice overs.
Terrentials help change the gameplay and keep it interesting.
The rpg element to it helps you level up and get stronger
Characters each have their own personality that is easy to love or hate
Switching of different weapons such as guns and swords helps keep the game from being repetative

The Bad

There is this stupid minigame in a spaceship that you have to play ( some people like this )
The voice overs other than the ones in the cutscenes can become annoying.
The graphics is pretty 2d if you cant get over this for such an advanced game as DS you wont like it

Final Score

9/10

I totally love this game and i think it is a worthy buy im sure there are gameplay trailers that show you how the game looks.
