I too like the fact that there is a cartoon, however I think the approach could have been different. Sure its a real scenario with a seemingly honest woman with little recourse trying to provide for her family, but perhaps a different scenario could be. One where its more of an 'get-rich-quick' scheme as opposed to a person at the end of her string. There are ppl that do it cause its a quick buck and not cause they feel as though they have no recourse. I saw a documentary/movie on this a while back with a college student who was doing it because the pay was good and in the end he died. I think that approach is better as it seeks to de-glamourize the drug-mule concept as opposed to targeting the desperate/poor, cause at the end of the day they are still gonna do it cause THEY ARE DESPERATE... targeting those that think its an easy way to make more cash on the other hand I can see it having more of an impact on. Cause as I mentioned desperation from poverty will prolly remain, those who just lazy on the other hand, yuh may stand a chance of changing their minds. That's my stance... I couldn't help but feel sorry for the character as in many ways it seems more like an ad for poverty than stopping drugs imho... they didn't even show ANY kind of alternatives for her situation and thats where I think the ad falls apart :p
