Well, truth be told, there were a lot of tournaments that came and went, and quite a few more coming along the way. This section just wasn't active much up until recently.

Yea, there have been a few tournaments in recent times, though there was a pause around November-December, due to me having end of semester exams....but I hope this one can bring out some unexpected results.

Well I wish good luck to all participants for this event, hope this one comes off with as few hitches as possible, and I hope everybody enjoys themselves to the fullest!

Congrats goes out to Matthew Gittens, who overcame a very close battle for the tournament, which had to go to tiebreaker matches to separate the top 3, to triumph at the end. Kudos also to Akil Jones, Sean Alexander and Nicholas Ramroop, who also fought gallantly to place 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively...

So until the end of this month, things should be back to the normal Swiss styled tournaments, I hope we see a turnout again like today's....

Basically - there was no official pairing structure as how it would normally be. Players have to pick their opponents and just play. I gave them 4 hours, who gets the most wins in that time, wins the tournament. In this case, we had a 3-way tie @ 16 wins...

Well the format is supported by the official software, but I can't say yet as to if it's a format that will be directly applicable for ratings...so if it isn't, then at least it was a good test run of the format...

Man, all I could say was that melee was the most exhausting tournament I've ever been to.

I didn't fare so well this time around, though. As a matter of fact, if you compared my performance to one of a three legged donkey in a demolition derby, I'd say the donkey has a fair chance of winning.
On an entirely different side note.....I still hate Dark World. >=(
