I dont find it that epic... i think the shika fight was the heights for me, and i really liked the sasuke itachi as well
and the animation style bugs me a bit much.
Its very similiar to the sasuke naruto fight, which i thoroughly enjoyed, especially the water running and sasuke pwning naruto up and down

but i guess i just expected a more serious darker tone for le pein.

I agree with crixx for once , the  style they used was overly cartoony , Kyuubi pick up a rock to smack Pein on the head like Wile-E coyote  , the movement was overly fluid and bouncy ... 
 
  Doesnt suit the mood of the battle at all , Hinata just dead and Naruto might go full 9 tails and destroy the remainder of leaf village .. should be a much darker tone .

They definitely OVERDID the cartoon animation... we've seen them use really detailed work (e.g. the fight between Jaraiya and Pain). But I wonder why they resort to such LOW and LAME quality for a figth such as this... it escapes me. I know the artists rotate so to speak between series, but would you leave a 3 year old to play with a loaded gun? why let the LAME @$$ animators disect what would have otherwise been the most EPIC fight in the series history?

Oh come on ppl, the animation wasn't so bad as to render the ep unenjoyable. Like i mentioned before, you enjoyed naruto v sasuke at the valley of the end, I can't possibly see why u can't enjoy this.

This went from "Sword of the Stranger" to "Rave Master" in one episode. How TF do you screw up fight potential like this, ESPECIALLY after last week's hype? Even my local translation did Naruto more justice than this Acme product.

i actually was most impressed by how monstrous kyuubi was whilst trapped in teh moon.
It really gave a sense that when kyuubi is on the battle field, he is a total monster

Yup, all him, those seals his father and mother gave him as birthday present have nothing to do with it whatsoever! Sure beats the presents Sasgay parents gave him... or uncle madara for that matter :p

yes crixx... read the manga and you will see that ur dumb theory of the kyuubi being the reason for naruto's high chackra is wrong

his high chakra is a bloodline limit of sorts.. from the uzamaki clan of the eddy village

second tile down kushina says: "apparently i was born with particularly strong chakra that was well suited to suppressing the nine-tails"
what logic would tell u is that anybody that was not born with this particularly strong chakra would not be able to suppress the kyuubi and he would just break the seal immediately, so chakra is needed to keep the fox in the seal...

since her predecessor was also an uzamaki.. logic would also show that it seemed to have been a trait particular to uzamaki.. and i said a blood line limit of "sorts"..

but to fanboys logic doesnt make sense.. which is ur problem lol

I am inclined to make varying points here.
1. Crixx is right by saying it was stated in the series (both manga and anime) that his high chakra reserves is related to his chakra having to constantly suppress the kyubi, logic would follow, no kyubi would translate in to much less chakra.
2. That being said, he is still the son of the 4th and a special chakra nin (aka his mom) suffice to say Naruto regardless of the Kyubi would have had damn good genes and still be above average in terms of capabilities and chakra.

Taking these 2 things into account now, Naruto was the perfect choice for the next host because of his Royal Lineage, albeit it may be safe to assume he didn't want his son to HAVE to suffer that burden before his time. Sasgay uncle madara however changed Minato' retirement plan BIG time.

Also study that based on what we've seen so far it's logical to think that Minato was forced to watch his wife die so that his son might live. In the process (and to be revealed in the next few chaps) Minato was able to either wrest Naruto from Madara, or Madara turned his attention away from Minato momentarily (he IS the yellow flash) and he got his son back shortly thereafter the battle between Madara in control of the Kyubi and the 4th ensued, with the 4th again foiling madara and his old ass self.

Lastly, considering Madara would have been aware of the 4th sealing away the kyubi in exchange for his life (and perhaps his wife's life) its possible that the 4th sealed part of madara away as well (as with the 3rd and Oro) otherwise what logic would there have been in Madara leaving Naruto (in his defenseless position) to grow and be protected by Konoha. I suspect Madara was damaged by the 4th and he has taken this time to recoup and as of yet does not have his full compliment of power from the MS... but this IS all just conjecture...

which means that whether he had to suppress the kyuubi or not.. it would have developed further.. i wont go so far as to saying it wouldve been much less without the fox...
