All this complaining about these time waste/ stalling/ fillership tactics within these esipodes but: naruto has always been like these, they start an arc, strech about 4 or 5 esipodes and then get to a point. That is the primary reason why I don't consider naruto (and bleach for this matter) as the best of the best anime (like some people), just an other of any anime I watch.

I also express disappointment at this weeks episode, but keep an optimistic view because of the anticipation I have for its progress following the manga. Keep hope alive people, just satiate your appetite with the WTF factor of the opening of the first episode. What if that stretch of the sory arc is made into an OVA-type presentation?? The quality was obviously way higher than what we've seen in this weeks "special". Oh well, we all know we'll be waiting for April 12...er 14. In the mean time, branch out a little, have a taste Death Note or Elfen Lied.

They needed to show naruto re-connecting, with the village and people and establishing the fact that he's changed over the last two and half years. This episode focused on that, i doh think it was a waste of time/ space at all.

Dis hr special episode was nearly a complete waste! it so water down it annoying.......u kno how much dey could fit into dis episode and still have it good?? if we did not kno wat was gonna happen in d manga we would not be disappointed......so ppl stop reading d manga to save urself future disappointment!!! sum of d filler actually pretty good....like d trap sasori set to mess up kankuro and den d numerous trails, d extended Gaara/deidara fight...wat i dont agree with is how long sumone does take to do one move......it took d townsppl till dis episode to start to attack, tho they said in ep 4 dat dey gonna back up d kazekage.........ridiculous!!!

y dey skippin out so many weeks 4?? since dey skip 2 weeks already, d hr special should be dis week.........dam ppl...we hadda wait till next week now.....at least dere's bleach (which goin real good) and deathnote( completely addicting!!!) to keep us occupied this week!!!!!!YAYA!!!

Not really, its the fact that they are really padding the episodes that are getting to most. Heck I liked the Bleach fillers... yuh heard right FILLERS... but what they are doing here is some serious padding that is really obnoxious... they should take a page out of DGrayman's book on how to pad an episode, the animators of that series are doing a fantastic job of padding a SINGLE chapter from the manga into an ENTIRE episode and it doesn't feel like they are padding.

Yeah he's right, naruto has alwasys been drawn out, and along with the time it takes to start a new arc, it will feel like a drag  in the begining

Personally I think Naruto has lost the excitement it first had in the early episodes. Even in the manga it feels like we close to the end of the story and they trying to stretch it out as far as possible. Look at how quickly we went from Naruto being a screw up to the introduction of Orichimaru and the whole plot to destroy Konoha. After that the story just started dragging out and the introduction of the Akatsuki doesn't maintain the momentum of the earlier part of the story. Think about how many characters were developed in the early episodes and how they have grown. Why is it that we keep getting rehashes of what we already know instead of the jaw-dropping plot twists that had us glued to the series before. I know many of you may not agree with me but whether you talking about the anime or the manga I PERSONALLY think that Naruto has lost it's magic.

Anyway, that was just my 2 cents, a filler in the thread if you will. Back to the regularly scheduled posts.

nah winnie i sure they'll go into another filler sequence before the end of the year , there isn't enough manga story to keep up a steady pace .

For real, fillers ahoy, yuh know how it does go. But the art work really make it fresher than usual, hope they keep it up. I thought i was mistaken...but for one of d episodes b4 d fight i swear i saw gara crack a smile, LMAO he face almost break with it

let's just hope that the episodes get alot better and not so drawn out............i mean filler is kinda necessary but not to the extent that these bastards are doin it!!! crap, in an hr special all we saw was:

(1) gaara is a completely changed person, willing to sacrifice his life 4 his village
(2) dat Gaara lost and
(3) kankuro now reach d akatsuki members to start a fight..

Still the animation was awesome!!! Gotta love the sand!
