Excel Saga

Episodes= 1 ( not complete )
Excel Saga (エクセル・サーガ, Ekuseru Sāga?) is a manga series by Koushi Rikudou,[1] and a TV anime series based on it and directed by Shinichi Watanabe.[2] Both the anime and the manga are absurdist comedies following the attempts of the "secret ideological organisation" ACROSS, to conquer the city of Fukuoka as a first step towards world domination. Excel, the title character, is a key member of ACROSS and ranks below only the organization's enigmatic leader, Ilpalazzo. In both the manga and anime, the city is defended by a shadowy government agency led by Dr. Kabapu, whose subordinates engage Excel and her junior officer, Hyatt on several occasions.

Shakugan no Shana

Episodes= 1 ( incomplete )
Shakugan no Shana (灼眼のシャナ, Shakugan no Shana? lit. Shana of the Blazing Eyes), also known simply as Shana, is a series of Japanese light novels and related media works written by Japanese novelist Yashichiro Takahashi and illustrated by Noizi Ito centering around Yuji Sakai, an ordinary Japanese high school boy who inadvertently becomes involved in a perpetual war between forces of balance and imbalance in existence. In the process, he befriends the title character: a fighter for the balancing force, whom he takes to calling "Shana". The series incorporates science fiction, fantasy, and slice-of-life "school days" elements into its tale.

Ragnarok - Demon Detective Loki

Episodes= 1-4 ( incomplete )
The Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok (魔探偵ロキRAGNAROK, Matantei Roki RAGNAROK?, lit. Demon Detective Loki: RAGNAROK) is a manga by Sakura Kinoshita published from August 1999 to October 2004. A television anime based upon the manga series ran for 26 episodes from April 5, 2003 to September 27, 2003 in Japan.

The series originally ran in the magazine Monthly Shonen Gangan under the name The Mythical Detective Loki (魔探偵ロキ, Matantei Loki), but Ragnarok was added to the title when the series was purchased by publishing company MAG Garden and moved to Comic Blade magazine. The Mythical Detective Loki was collected in 7 volumes by Gangan Comics, which were later republished by Blade Comics; it has not been officially licensed for US distribution. The Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok ran for 5 more volumes, which were published in Japan by Blade Comics, and picked up for translation and English release by ADV Manga. Chuang Yi has released an English version in Singapore. The anime has been licensed for English release by ADV Films. The anime series is also being broadcast across South America by the anime television network, Animax, under the name Mythical Sleuth Loki.

The fact that the second manga series has been licensed in North America without the first series is a source of some controversy among fans in English-speaking countries, as the second series is a direct continuation from the first and refers back to previous events frequently. Both series were licensed in Singapore.

Ninja Scroll TV

Episodes= 1-9 ( incompete )
Ninja Scroll (獣兵衛忍風帖, Jūbei Ninpūchō?) is a Japanese action thriller anime, set in feudal Japan, by critically acclaimed director/writer Yoshiaki Kawajiri who was best known for his previous thriller Wicked City (Yōjū Toshi). The character designs were done by Yutaka Minowa. The movie is an homage to Ninpōchō series, ninja novels by Futaro Yamada.

The movie was released on June 5, 1993 and received a Western release on December 6, 1996. The movie was also released in some regions as Jubei Ninpucho: The Wind Ninja Chronicles. It is licensed by Manga Entertainment in North America. The Japanese title could be translated as "Jubei the Wind Ninja", although this is subject to debate as it does not account for the last part of the title. Ninja Scroll won the Citizen's Award at the 1993 Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival. Ninja Scroll is among the most popular anime movies outside of Japan, along with such movies as Akira and Ghost in the Shell. It is well-received in its depiction of the ninja and Japanese mythological creatures such as the Stone Golem, and the Blind Assassin.

The main character, Jubei Kibagami is a homage to the famed Japanese samurai folk hero Yagyu Jubei.

Will Saya be able to restore her memory and find her own identity?

Yakitate Japan

Episodes= 1-9 ( incomplete )
he story focuses on Kazuma Azuma, a boy on his quest to create Ja-pan, a national bread for Japan itself. He initially heads to Tokyo to expand his bread-making horizons at the bread-making chain Pantasia; the story continues with Azuma's exploits with his other coworkers.

The title of this series itself is a play on words; Yakitate translates to "freshly baked", but Japan has a double meaning. Besides referring to the country of Japan, "pan" is the Japanese word for "bread" (stemming from Portuguese "pão" [2]). Ja-pan is a pun for this series. This mimics the style of the names of other varieties of bread in Japanese, such as "furansupan" (French Bread), "doitsupan" (German rye-based bread), "itariapan" (Italian bread), etc.

Besides the desire to create his Ja-pan, Azuma also possesses the legendary 太陽の手, Solar Hands (known as "Hands of the Sun" in Viz's translation). These hands are warmer than normal human hand temperature, and allow the dough to ferment faster. This gives him some advantage at the beginning of the series, but his innovation and many Ja-pans are his greater talents.

Although the story has baking as its main theme, the parts that generate the most interest are the outrageous puns in the story. Especially notable are the "reaction" based puns made by the judges, who go to great lengths to prove a single point about the bread that they had tasted. The series in general also pokes fun at the shōnen genre's tendency to be melodramatic over mundane tasks.

UFO Princess Valkyrie

Episodes= 8-11 ( incomplete )
UFO Princess Warukyure, aka UFO Princess Walküre is about a princess from outer space who accidentally crashes on earth, where Kazuto desperately tries to maintain the public bath of his grandfather.
Due to circumstances, Kazuto receives part of princess Walküre`s soul which forces her to stay there with him. But that`s not the only problem ... because her soul lost strength, the princess transforms both mentally and physically into a little kid!

Trinity Blood

Episodes=1-13 ( complete )
The series takes place in an indeterminate time in the future, 500 years after an apocalyptic war between all of Earth's nations destroyed civilization, when humanity has reestablished itself. In this future world, the Roman Catholic Church has become a major military power, whose goals include the protection of humanity against the vampiric Methuselahs, who war upon humankind (or "Terrans," as they call humans). The seat of power is the Vatican, an attractive place with traditional European architecture; it is likely the same Vatican city in the real world (albeit perhaps rebuilt following the previous war). The Methuselahs are themselves another major political and military force. Their capital of Byzantium (presumably built on the site of the real world's Byzantium, now Istanbul) appears as an elegant metropolis, surrounded by a field of particles which filters out UV radiation, thus protecting the Methuselah population.

Both sides in this conflict are in a barely-contained cold war against each other. The current countries use "lost technologies," remnants of advanced technology that survived the apocalyptic war. These include airships, missiles, computers, etc. Worth noting is a third great power, Albion; it is a future version of Britain, with Buckingham Palace clearly seen in a number of episodes, reigned over by a monarchy. It is characterized by its superior arsenal of lost technology and weapons, and a higher level of manufacturing ability than the Vatican. Other states are rarely mentioned, but the novelized/manga version does refer to the existence of such countries.

Teknoman Blade

Episodes 1-43 ( complete )
In the United Global Year (UGY) 193, the Earth is under attack from an extraterrestrial enemy; the Venomoids. The Venomoids are led by an even deadlier force, known as the Tekkamen.

Surrounding the Earth is the huge man-made orbital ring known as the Space Ring. The Space Ring was constructed well before the arrival of Venomoids and was the first human structure attacked by them. As the aliens attacked, those that were left either fled or were killed, and the Space Ring was largely abandoned, serving only as a battle ground for Blade and the Tekkamen.

Fighting against Venomoids and the Tekkamen are the Space Knights. Led by Commander Heinrich Freeman, the Space Knights are a Special Defense Force, and Earth's last hope for defeating the mighty Rahdam. The Space Knights consist of Noal, the pilot of the Space Knights' ship the Blue Earth; Aki Kisaragi, the Blue Earth Navigator; Milly, Communications Operator; Rebin, computer wiz and mechanic; and Honda, Mechanic and Repairs. The Space Knights have been unsuccessful at repelling the Venomoids until the arrival of D-Boy (Dangerous Boy - Tekkaman Blade's nickname while amnesiac), a mysterious young man who has the ability to transform into the powerful warrior known as Teknoman Blade.

Together they fight off the enemies surfacing from the dark past that Kenshin cannot escape.

Hellsing

Episodes= 1-4 ( incompete )
The basic concept of the series concerns a secret British government organization called Hellsing. This organization was formed several hundred years ago by either Abraham van Helsing or his descendants to fight vampires across Britain. As the first episode opens, a vampire is ravaging the English village of Cheddar. Integra Hellsing tells the police to stand down, as the first few squads have already been killed by the vampire and become ghouls (in Hellsing, ghouls are similar to zombies under a vampire's control). She sends in Hellsing's most powerful operative, Alucard. Alucard comes upon the vampire as he is about to murder the last survivor of the police forces, Seras Victoria. In order to kill the vampire he shoots through Seras, mortally wounding her, but before he does so offers her the choice of dying a human or becoming a vampire.

They mainly fight vampires who are artificially created using a chip that is implanted in a living person. It is called a Freak Chip, and the resulting vampires are called Freaks. One trait of the Freak Chip is a pattern in the circuitry that looks like a swastika.

To create these copies the makers of the Freak Chip need a real Vampire; Incognito.

This story mainly follows the battle of the Hellsing organization against the Freaks.

.Hack/Sign

Episodes= 1-5 ( incomplete )
hack starts in a fictional 2005, introducing a computer virus called Pluto's Kiss as the cause of a 77 minutes long massive Internet shutdown.[8] The results are catastrophic: traffic lights shut down, planes collide in midair, and the United State's nuclear missiles are nearly launched. As a consequence, cyberspace is subjected to severe restrictions. The virus affects all operating systems except for one, Altimit OS, the only operating system immune to all computer viruses.[9]

Two years later free access to the networks recovers, bringing with it the release of The World; the first online game since Pluto's Kiss, developed for Altimit OS by CC Corporation.[8] The World is portrayed as a fantasy setting wherein player characters can be different classes, adventure by themselves to go searching through dungeons, or join with others and form parties.[3] They can fight monsters and level up, collect new items and participate in special events. At the center of each server is a Root Town, which contain shops, a save point, and the Chaos Gate that the players use to travel between servers in the game.[10]

Gundam SEED Destiny

Episodes= 1-44 ( incomplete )
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny (機動戦士ガンダムSEED DESTINY, Kidō Senshi Gundam Shīdo Desutinī?) is the second TV series set in the Cosmic Era universe of Gundam. Set two years after the original Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, Gundam SEED Destiny features many new characters and some returning ones. The series spanned 50 episodes (plus a recap episode entitled "Edited"), aired in Japan from October 9, 2004 to October 1, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. on the JNN TV stations TBS and MBS.

Gun X Sword

Episodes= 1-6 ( incomplete )
Gun X Sword (ガン×ソード, Gan×Sōdo?, the “×” is silent, but a part of the title[1]), known by some fans as GXS, is a 26-episode anime television series directed by Goro Taniguchi and produced by AIC A.S.T.A, which premiered in July 2005. The protagonist, Van, travels the world searching for a mysterious man with a clawed right hand who killed his bride. He is joined by several other travelers along the way, each linked to the clawed man by a personal loss. Gradually they find the makings of a plot that will shake the foundations of the world they live on.

Gun X Sword is set on the 'Planet of Endless Illusion'; a place where rogues of all sorts gather. The world itself has one moon orbiting it, and has a general technical level of modern Earth, with a few exceptions, such as humanoid combat suits called 'Armors'. The overall culture has a 'wild west' feel to it, with general lawlessness in the more rural areas and large expanses of wilderness.

Ghost in the shell ( stand alone complex )

Episodes= 1-22 ( incomplete )
Ghost in the Shell is a futuristic police thriller dealing with the exploits of Motoko Kusanagi, a member of the covert operations section of the Japanese National Public Safety Commission, Section 9, which specializes in fighting technology-related crime. She may be named after one of the three Imperial Regalia of Japan and Shirow makes reference to them at the end of the second manga. Although supposedly equal to all other members, Kusanagi fills the leadership role in the team, and is usually referred to as "the Major" due to her past rank in the armed forces. She is capable of superhuman feats, and cybernetically specialized for her job; her body is almost completely mechanized, only her brain and a segment of her spinal cord are human.

The setting of Ghost in the Shell is cyberpunk or postcyberpunk, similar to that of William Gibson's Sprawl trilogy and other post/cyberpunk works. However, Shirow's work is focused more tightly on the ethical and philosophical ramifications of the widespread merging of humanity and technology. The development of artificial intelligence and an omnipresent computer network set the stage for a reevaluation of human identity and uniqueness. More so than the films, the manga tackles these questions head on: Kusanagi and her colleagues face external threats and also suffer internal conflict over their own natures.

Bleach

Episodes= 1-92 ( incomplete )
Ichigo Kurosaki is a rough-and-tumble teenager who has always had the special ability to see spirits. The story begins with the sudden appearance of an oddly-dressed stranger in Ichigo's bedroom. After Rukia is severely wounded during battle trying to protect Ichigo, she decides to transfer half of her powers to Ichigo, hoping to give him the opportunity to face the hollow on an equal footing. Ichigo unintentionally absorbs almost all of Rukia's powers during the attempt instead, allowing him to defeat the hollow with ease.

The next day, Rukia turns up in Ichigo's classroom as a transfer student. Much to his surprise, she now appears to be a normal human. She theorizes that it was the unusual strength of Ichigo's spirit that caused him to fully absorb her powers, thus leaving her stranded in the human world. Rukia has transferred herself into a gigai — an artificial human body — while waiting to recover her abilities. In the meantime, Ichigo must take over her job as a shinigami, battling hollows and guiding lost souls to the afterlife.

Shura no Toki

Episodes= 1-26 ( complete )
Mutsuen Meiryū Gaiden: Shura no Toki (陸奥圓明流外伝 修羅の刻, Mutsuen Meiryū Gaiden: Shura no Toki?) Even since the Heian era, the members of the Mutsu family have practiced an unarmed martial art, the Mutsu Enmei Ryuu. They walked the path of the undefeated and were called the Shura no Mono (Men of Carnage).

The 15-volume-manga, published by Koudansha since 1989, contains eight story arcs, three of which were used for the anime series. Each arc is loosely based on Japanese history, focusing on a member of the fictional Mutsu clan and their influence on the life of a historic swordsman. The first part of the anime revolves around Mutsu Yakumo and Miyamoto Musashi in the early Edo era; the second continues shortly thereafter with Yakumo's son Mutsu Takato and Yagyū Jūbei; and the third shows a more distant descendant of the Mutsu family, Mutsu Izumi, who becomes close friends with Sakamoto Ryōma during the Bakumatsu era.

Trigun

Episodes= 1-26 ( complete )
Much of the damage attributed to "Vash" is caused by the activities of the bounty hunters who are after the 60,000,000,000$$ (sixty billion "double dollars") reward on Vash's head for the destruction of a city called July. Vash does not clearly remember the destruction of July, and only wants "love and peace", as he puts it; though he is a gunfighter of inhuman skill, he uses his weapons only to save lives wherever he can.

As the series progresses, more is gradually learned about Vash's mysterious history and the history of human civilization on Gunsmoke, the alien desert planet the series is set on. The series is often humorous in tone, but at the same time it involves very serious character development and especially in later episodes it becomes quite emotionally intense. Vash is occasionally joined by the preacher Nicholas D. Wolfwood, who is almost as good a gunfighter as Vash himself, and later is targeted by a band of assassins known as the Gung-Ho Guns for reasons which are mysterious at first.

Trigun evolves into a very serious discussion of the nature of morality, posing questions such as: What is the nature of morality? Can we judge different moral codes? If a person is forced to betray their moral code, does that betrayal invalidate that moral code, and can the person still try to live up to that moral code? Can the person find redemption from their wrongs, and if so, how?

Serial Experiments Lain deals directly with the definition of Reality, which makes its complex plot difficult to summarize.[4] The story is primarily based on the assumption that everything flows from human thought, memory, and consciousness.[5][6] Therefore, events on screen can be considered hallucinations of Lain, of other protagonists, or of Lain fabricating the hallucinations of others.[6] Story misdirection is central to the plotline;[7] even the offscreen voices or narrations' information cannot be considered truthful.[8] The series consists of a cross-reflection of philosophical themes instead of the traditional linear events depiction: episodes are called "layers".

Serial Experiments Lain describes "the Wired" as the sum of human communication networks, created with the telegraph and telephone services, and expanded with the Internet and subsequent networks. The anime assumes that the Wired could be linked to a system that enables unconscious communication between people and machines without physical interface. The storyline introduces such a system with the Schumann resonance, a property of the Earth's magnetic field that theoretically allows for unhindered long distance communications. If such a link was created, the network would become equivalent to Reality as the general consensus of all perceptions and knowledge (see consensus reality). The thin line between what is real and what is possible would then begin to blur.

Witchblade

Episodes=1-7 ( not complete )
The Witchblade is an intelligent, ancient, and conscious weapon with extra-terrestrial origins and one of thirteen other weapons. It is the offspring of the universe’s opposing aspects, the Darkness and the Angelus (the dark and the light). A male aspect created to act as a balance, which must have a female as a host. The Witchblade was found in Greece by Kenneth Irons, but before he found it, it had had many wielders. When not in use, it can look like an ornate, jewel encrusted, right handed gauntlet. When wielded by an unworthy user, that person will lose their arm. It forms a symbiotic relationship with the host, who can hear the Witchblade. When used, it expands across the body of the wielder, shredding clothes and covering the body like an armour. The armour seems subjective depending on the level of threat. Faced against mortals, it will usually generate less armour than when faced against a demon of hell. This armour can form swords, other stabbing weapons, shields, and wings, enabling the wielder to fly. It may also become temperamental if it chooses not to be used. When wielded, it can shoot energy blasts from the hand or sword, fire projectile darts, and whip-like grapples to attack or to climb. The Witchblade is also an excellent lock pick, and can heal wounds, even mortal ones. The Witchblade can re-animate the dead, can empathetically show the wielder scenes of great trauma, and also relive experiences from wielders of the past in dream like experiences.

Grenadier

Episodes=1-12 ( complete )
Grenadier follows the travels of the Samurai Yajiro Kojima, a mercenary swordsman, and of the extremely busty Rushuna Tendo, an expert Senshi. A Senshi, or "Enlightened", is one who is skilled to some degree in the use of guns. The series begins with Yajiro, or the "Rear Guard Tiger", and a small army of Samurai launching a frontal assault against a fort in an attempt to free their Uesama (Samurai Lord); however, the fort was taken over by a power-thirsty group of gunners, and the assault fails.

Yajiro orders a retreat, but is spotted by the enemy and chased to a small cliff, which he jumps off of to escape. With his pursuers still following, he follows a nearby hot-water stream upcurrent where he finds Rushuna bathing in a hotspring. She seems undisturbed by his presence or her own nudity and hides him in the hotspring with her ample breasts as cover until the enemy passes them by. After this, she introduces herself as a traveler and reveals the ultimate battle strategy to Yajiro; to avoid battle by removing an enemy's will to fight.

Hearing the gunfire of the renewed assault upon the fort, Yajiro leaves Rushuna to rejoin combat. He arrives in time to see the leader of the gunners use a Gatling Gun to decimate the samurai. Rushuna also arrives at this point and shows her considerable gun talent and effectively ending the battle by defeating the lead gunner and rescuing the lord by herself.

Something in him changing, Yajiro decides to become Rushuna's partner and travel with her.

Rune Soldier

Episodes= 1-20 ( incomplete )
Rune Soldier (魔法戦士リウイ, Mahō Senshi Riwi?, lit. Magical Soldier Louie) is an anime and manga series based on the original novel series by Ryou Mizuno, which features soldier Louie as the hero. The series takes place on the continent of Alecrast on the planet Forsela, and is related to the novel, anime, and manga series Sword World. It is a sibling series to Record of Lodoss War (which is also directed by Mizuno), taking place on a continent north of Lodoss Island.

Gantz ( uncut )

Episodes= 1-26 ( complete )
Gantz (ガンツ, Gantsu?) is a manga and anime series written by Hiroya Oku. Gantz tells the story of a teenager named Kei Kurono who dies in a train accident and becomes part of a semi-posthumous "game" in which he and several other recently deceased people are forced to hunt down and kill aliens. The missions in which they take are often dangerous. A very low number of people survive each mission but are replaced by others who have recently died.

The Gantz anime ran for 13 episodes and had a direct sequel called Gantz The Second Stage, which continued the series for another 13 episodes. Both seasons make up the 26 episode series. It was licensed in North America by ADV Films. The anime series is distributed in the UK by MVM Films, and in Australia and New Zealand by Madman Entertainment. Though the manga has no license in the U.S., scanlation groups have released all chapters to date, over the Internet. The 20th volume of Gantz was released on December 19, 2006.

Swat Kats

Episodes= 101-113 ( incomplete )
Chance "T-Bone" Furlong and Jake "Razor" Clawson were members of Megakat City's SWAT team, known as the Enforcers. While in pursuit of Dark Kat, the arch-villain of the series, the two rebelled against Enforcer Commander Feral's orders to fall back and leave Dark Kat to him. The direct disobedience to that order resulted in Dark Kat's escape and Chance and Jake's jet crashing into Enforcer headquarters.

3x3 Eyes

Episodes= 1 and 2 ( incomplete )
3x3 Eyes follows the adventures of Pai, the last remaining Sanjiyan Unkara (三只眼 吽迦羅), and her new Wu (Chinese reading of 无; an immortal companion), Yakumo, as they desperately try to find a way to make Pai human so that she can forget her troubled past. In some Chinese dubs Pai is pronounced "Pui" and her name is a reference to Parvati, a beautiful Indian mountain goddess reputed to inhabit the Himalayas. Yakumo can again become mortal and end his constant need to protect Pai because if Pai dies, then so will he. Along the way, they encounter many followers of the now-dead demon god Kaiyanwang, all of whom wish to kill Pai or siphon off her power in order to resurrect their deity and/or gain immortality.
