Turbine, the developer of LOTR Online, recently announced the Founders Program. Players who pre-order the game have two choices of special pricing:

999 for an mmo is pretty cheap

and if yu really love the lotr world like people love the WoW and lineage world then 199 can be a great deal for long runnings

I got an invitation from Gamespot but since I have Green Dot I will regrettably have to pass. Green Dot does not play well with online games.

got invitiation......took it, downloaded it and im stress testing the servers.....game is sh!t.

Gamespy has a first look at the game with some very interesting observations. There is an achievement-like system built in called the "deed log" that rewards you for doing certain things (as in Xbox 360 games). For example, if you kill a certain number of orcs you get the "Orc Slayer" deed and it shows up next to your name (Frodo, Orc Slayer). I will wait for a full review before deciding whether I should jump in LOTR or begin Warcrack.

Bought it....find its okay-ish. I dont like the cooldown fighting styles on all attacks, reminds me of CoH. Fun characters to build in CoH/CoV...boring as hell game to play. Went back to WoW. Graphics are....okay. Sometimes they are nice, sometimes the're bleh.
The endgame content is not big enough to make me play this game. MMO beginners, this is an excelent game to start with. Veterans looking for a Everyquest nostalgia, this is for you. Established MMO players who engage in Raid and endgame content on a grand level, this is a joke.

yes i calling it BLEH at TIMES yes it bleh!!!!! BLEEEEEHHHHHHH. as in BLEH particle physics, BLEH collision physics. And this on max settings..see my gfx card?

 Im on Brandywine on LOTRO with the collectors edition wtf ever items you get from PC GAmer subscription which i have. I still trying to understand the point of two rogue type classes in the game, where one have sh!t deffence but is AOE melle *wtf*
