sounds REALLY nice for notebooks. low end new turion models are coming with either 6150 or x1150 which is great. here hoping this forces makers to dump gma 950 on low end books for intel too.

Well intel is working hard at getting better int graphics for their chipsets (as displayed by the flurry of hiring in the discrete gpu market not so long ago). Also AMD also has new chipsets in the wings that will offer even better power savings. Barcelona is due out this year soon and that should (if its executed correctly) put AMD back in the fight for top spot. I know alot of ppl have been knocking them lately, but they are planning ahead with new products and using their new resources wisely. This year should be quite interesting. And this particular chipset should sell well for Vista as it'll run aero well.

 it should be as fast as a 9600XT/9500 pro , thats enough to play currant games quite well actually. Coupled with some good DDR 2 in dual channel , you have yourself a damn good system.

Actually the current 6100/6150/x1100/x1150 chipsets run vista well enough, but this coupled with dual channel ddr2 can help put games back on the map for low end pc's. When "everyman" games cant run on the gma series, but run run well on simple OLD gpus, that's an embarrassment.

 it will make gaming on bottom end PCS  alot better,  especially with the competition it will encourage ie. Intel trying to beat AMD/ATI ... Nvidia trying to beat both.

No but this chipset should best all the present offerings from the competition. In the least it will aid gaming across all desktops hopefully. I mean we eh talkign FEAR here, but a lil UT2004 in the least.
