WTB Socket A motherboard
« on: January 17, 2007, 02:31:21 PM »
Here's the deal, looking for a motherboard to replace one that's gone bad in an Internet only PC. Current board is ASROCK K7S41GX

http://www.asrock.com/product/K7S41GX.htm

Integrated everything :P

Looking to spend about $300

Anyone got a board I can get quickly to fix this pc?

Sorry, don't need an entire system, just a motherboard... Unless you selling the mobo alone, but then it's not fully integrated, so how much for mobo and vid. card alone?

PM me, we'll negotiate if you want

Its not bad performing either. Works great and looks almost new. Comes with the backplate. Will try to locate the drivers cd.

Oh yeah PC Chips is about the lowest one can sink. I swore years ago that I would never again buy one of those again...

LOL ^_^ I didn't forget, but that was one of them integrated (CPU & mobo) things...

Not an integrated board (S/V/L)

This one is really just for an internet only pc... I not really looking for anything best

Plus is time I looking at, and no one else offered a viable suggestion...

I too dislike using Pc Chips boards. I try to really stay away from them, but my cousin needed a really discount system at the time so he bit the bullet so to speak and went for it. The board amazed me, running very stable and secure under Windows Xp. I still do not use Pc Chips, but recently someone wanted another discount system and said they would take the chance. That was last Carnival, and up to today the machine runs nicely. They even overclock!

This board was never overclocked and the system was always power protected with a UPS. The PSU from that system still operates and gives out a rather clean voltage.

I am impressed by what Pc Chips has done compared to those quirky boards of a while ago!

Anyway, it's up to you if you still want the board.
