On a serious note...
« on: January 22, 2007, 10:29:48 PM »
Tonight on the TV6 news i was shocked to hear that a family of four was brutally murdered in laventille by bandits. This may not come as a surprise to many, but it is yet another indicator of how terrible things have gotten in Trinidad. Seriously, it feels really hopeless. Now matter how many marches, symposiums, strikes etc. we hold, the situation just keeps getting worse. God help us all.

Who says it was bandits? who says it wasn't corrupt officers that felt threatened by an honest women officer and had her silenced? just a thought. This sickens me... again, where is the Guts of this world to wield an unreal sword of justice and obliterate the evil of this world.... *Sighs* (for those that don't know, Guts is the lead character from Berserk the Manga, and was Baego's avatar).

i was saying that long time 5o eh care but nobody but themselves it have one building house right next to we have the building material out in the road half way and in we drain, we have water so stagnant it have fish and snakes in it now, but when i tell my pops he say he eh wha no trouble with babylon, so yuh see, is not ah matter of shutting the country down, it make no sense, when those we supposed to run to for help are the ones we have the greatest amount of uncertainty about it is double edge sword. At least i know what a bandit in my house doing, but what bout the police?

Trini go stay home say they making statement but to tell yuh the truth i feel is only a few who really care bout this thing,

ah yes ... such a fickle country we live in.

So new twist in the drama: The man who organized the shut down, has been unconfirmably held by police under the 'anti-terrorism act'.

Note I said protective services eh! that includes army, coast guard, etc. As for why I feel strongly about that? simple, how can the people charged with protecting us be the criminals themselves? if that is the case, they deserve punishment THAT much more stern imho. Check this, I listening to Red 96.7 this morning to the BPTT roadhog segment and a man call in and say he was in Marabella by JTA. They does have 2 doubles vendors in the car park. He say a Black car with HEAVY tint (cyah rem the license plate now) stroll through (so the ppl figured police maybe?) which in fact they turned out to be. It would have been fine if they roll up to move the doubles vendor for say selling in an area illegally (location not food badge or something so) so this car with CID or whoever pull up THROUGH the crowd of ppl trying to get breakfast sirens and all (to move the ppl) ONLY to open the window and say "TWO DOUBLES DERE" WTMC!!!!!!!!!!!!! this kinda abuse of process does PISS ME TO ^&* OFF!!!! and this kinda crap NORMAL. I think it's unaccpetable. All these seemingly insignificant things add to the overall decrepit level of crime. When the protective services themselves cyah be courteous and failing in such little things, what does it leave for the more troublesome things? still cyah find dem kidnap victims? cyah stop the flow of drugs, cyah stop murders.... its F&^*ing HORRIBLE. And imho these little things are just little indicators of WHY.

Police also has some serious misappropriations of man power: as point out on news last night; that they needed 4 vehicles filled with officers to bring in and subsequently charge a man for Not printing his name and address on pamphlets he gave out weeks ago.

well  to add my two cents....i once over heard to officers talking one from the special anti-crime unit and one apparantly a detective. Both were sharing stories of how corupt certain jurisdictions were. They were talking in a manner that was supposed to be understood by them alone but I mean anybody could have tell what they were talking about. And one piece of info that shocked me the most was the alot alot of drugs pass through the south western part of the country (los iros and icacos) nad the shipments that are usually held are those the police weren't in on and the mules were unfortunate.

However I do know i am fortunate to know some decent officers......they too however let small things slide....you know driving without a permit,  music playing loud, g5 tint........why? cause is small thing...but if you put a  wedge in a board and pound it, every successive pound will only make the crack wider....
