   The public may be allowed to purchase the 100 dollar laptop ... With an X86 compatible processor ' Geode' and integrated graphics (2d only i think ) , 128 RAM , 512mb storage.... Running linux... With integrated Wi-Fi.... Yall thinking what i'm thinking?


 STARCRAFT FTW!!!!!!!!!

 With a little tweaking , we should get it to run SC  and Quake 2 based games with software rendering....   maybe even unreal 2004 : ).  Hopefully the interface is gaming friendly .

Kinda pie in the sky dream , but it would really take off if the Ministry of Education adopts it... Would just be a matter of getting yourself one (or stealing you chile one) , distributing software to kiddies and jumping in d sweat.

I always thought something like this would be great for countries like ours. Id imagine quite a fe wmay get destroyed but some kids out there who have the capabilities but not the machine would benefit greatly from this

these machines represent the future of the world shaping it self through mass education for cheap.

Crixx you have no vision!  Cell phones , ipods and these lappies will be the next big thing for gaming as everyone will have one.  Not that we should throw away our PSP and PCs to adopt these as it will be a step back .
 
   Once everyone has one it will help bring gaming to the masses  if we use it as such , you could be in BG playing SC with fellas in QRC after school hours thanks to Wi-Fi .

Yeah and in 20 years when we ALL have brain tumours, testicular cancer and blood disorders from long term exposure to radiotion we'll all think that gaming so much was a bad thing :p. But yeah @ crixx and no vision, or rather very narrow vision (and loyalties).
