was just watchin tv, and saw an ad for target, which featured Xbox360..
so i was wondering how much they ( ms) paid for the spot  ( it featured the 360 in a whole-family fun role. very wii-esque..lol)


then all of a sudden, bam!   into a next ad, this time for a movie "because i said so"

where within the first couple seconds, a reference is made to adultfriendfinder ,complete with a view of the wbesite ( albeit obscured) an even the main character mentions the name..

( to the uninitiated, it is a very popular sex service for swingers.. what? it pops up all over the net.. lol!! really!!! u know the one.. 'find a hot girl livin in la horquetta')


i was like.. wow..  is a mainstream film ( starrin diane keaton, mandy more, that dude from seventh heaven) and they have this content int he movie TRAILER.lol. which means everybody, not just the target demographic gonna see it
then i wondered who paid who.. most probably adultfriendfinder paid them.. cuz they coudl have easily made up a service and use that..

Haven't you seen Minority report? you DO know we're moving towards that right? custom tailored advertisements JUST for you? There is a prototype in the states I believe on a freeway where they broadcast radio ads based on your preference, I can't rem the details now, but I know this is the way they're moving. I believe MS is also working on ad software (or already have) that will show you ads (like google ads) based on details MS gets from your browser. Its kinda scary how much 'big brother' is watching you these days... its like using scroogle instead of google cause little known to most, most EVERYTHING we search for via google is stored, it stores which IPs searched for what items. But that all aside, sex is a HUGE industry so I am sure they have the cash to buy those spots at ridiculous prices... some in the hundreds even millions of US dollars. Take for instance ads during the Super Bowl. Those fetch millions....

dred,  gmail already does it, by scanning your mail and givin you ads related to your mail content..so ms just playin catch-up

i know , right?   but middle america still has a large sway over  as we speak. i referrin to the afore-mentioned janet jackson nipple incident ( and the furore that resulted), refusal to recognise gay marital rights , the govt-proposed veto-ing of the .xxx op level domain and the general 'christian' values that bush & co push for their fanbase

now, as we see, what people get up on the pulpit and preach against isn't always what they practice in the privacy of their homes ( read: the scandal with the gay preacher, and the pedophile congressman who had chaired a child protection bill, i think)

for all intents and purposes,politically, america is still conservative.
